Get Highly Accurate Temperature and Humidity Measurements and Bluetooth Connectivity

The GIS 1000 C Bluetooth-connected digital thermometer can measure temperatures between -40°C and +1000°C with an accuracy of ±1.0 °C, and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to an exposed sensor, the infrared thermometer can not only measure surface temperature, but also room temperature, as well as relative humidity with an accuracy of ±2%. Easily transfer data to a smartphone using the Bluetooth-connected Measuring Master app, or to a PC with the microUSB cable.

A visual camera makes it easy to save pictures with measurements for better documentation, while the 2.8‘‘ colour display enables users to easily locate measurements and navigate the device‘s functions. A zoom function allows users to zoom in or out on a visual image, depending on the detail needed. The front-facing LED light illuminates the measured area for improved visibility. A K-type interface can be used for external temperature measurement probes, such as inside air conditioning openings or to measure the temperature of liquids.

The temperature gun has a wide application range and can be used to check for thermal bridges, assess mould risk, search for overheated fuses, check heating and ventilation systems, and more.

For added flexibility, the temperature gun can be used with either a 12 V Li-ion battery or standard AA batteries using the battery adapter.

    Measure Surface Temperature

Measure the average surface temperature of the circular area within the two laser points, with an accuracy of ±1.0°C and a working range of -40°C to +1000°C

  2. mt

    Measure Relative Humidity

Thanks to an external sensor, the device can measure relative humidity with an accuracy of ±2%

  3. mt

    Measure Surrounding Temperature

The GIS 1000 C can measure the surrounding temperature within a range of -10°C to +50°C and with an accuracy of ±1°C

  4. mt

    Measure Contact Temperature

A probe can be attached via the K-type interface at the top of the device to measure contact temperature within a range of -40°C to +1000°C

  1. mtm

    Surface Temperature Mode

Indicates the measured surface temperature, with temperatures displayed along a scale to indicate the current temperature relative to others from the same measurement

  2. mt

    Thermal Bridge Mode

Gives an audiovisual signal when the difference between room temperature and surface temperature exceeds a predefined amount, allowing users to identify thermal bridges in seconds

  3. mt

    Dew Point Mode

Gives an audiovisual signal if the surface temperature approaches the dew point, to determine if the area is at risk for mould

  4. mt

    User Mode

Allows users to set the temperature scale with min./max. surface temperature and select the temperature values relevant to them

How does the device measure humidity?

The small sensor between trigger and IR-measurement opening measures relative air humidity and ambient temperature accurately. Therefore, it’s necessary to remove the protective cap for measurement.

How does the GIS help document measurement results?

The GIS 1000 C can save measurements as an image. These images and corresponding measurements can be transferred via MicroUSB to a PC to create reports. The Measuring Master App can also be used to transfer the saved measurements via Bluetooth.

When does the device start the measurement and where does it measure the surface temperature?

The measurement starts by pulling the trigger and stops, when the trigger is released. The tool measures the average surface temperature of the circular area between the two laser dots.

Can I measure temperature of liquids?

Liquids can be measured using the K-type module on top of the tool. The external module can easily be inserted into the liquid and the GIS will display the temperature result on the screen.

What is the difference between an infrared thermal imager and an infrared spot thermometer?

A thermal camera visualizes the temperature distribution of a surface by combining 1000s of measuring points into one image. An infrared spot thermometer measures the temperature of a precise area of a surface and does not create a thermal image.
