Kettlebell Exercises

One Arm Kettlebell Swings

  1. Stand with your feet slightly further than shoulder-width apart. Push your hips back and slightly bend your knees. Grab the kettlebell handle with your right hand and extend your left arm out from your side.
  2. Start by swinging your right hand backward between your legs. Make sure the handle of the kettlebell remains slightly higher than your knees.
  3. Snap your hips forward by forcefully squeezing your glutes and lifting your chest. The kettlebell should swing forward on it’s own. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat with the other arm.

Kettlebell Deadlifts

  1. Start standing with your feet hip-width apart, your weight shifted back in your heels. The kettlebell should be on the floor a few inches in front of you.
  2. Hinge at your hips and push into your heels as you bend to grab the kettlebell with both hands. Make sure your back stays flat.
  3. Drive your hips forward and lift the kettlebell as you stand up, keeping your weight pushed through your heels.

  1. Stand with your feet wider than hip width apart and the kettlebell in between your feet
  2. Squat down, placing both hands around the kettlebell handle and then drive through your glutes to return to a standing position
  3. Keep in this position to squat, keeping your chest up and your back straight

One-Arm Kettlebell Snatch

  1. Start standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and the kettlebell a few inches away from your body on the floor. Hinge forward and grab the kettlebell with one arm.
  2. Pick up the kettlebell and swing it through your legs.
  3. Stand up, and as you raise the kettlebell, draw your elbow back towards your shoulder.
  4. Flip the kettlebell over your wrist and extend your arm fully to meet your elbow next to your ear. Take one long swing from overhead to start the next repetition.
