About this item
- Simple: Delivery drivers simply press the button, wait for iParcelBox to unlock, place the parcel inside and close the lid, which locks. There are no codes to enter, locks to manipulate or special apps required to make deliveries.
- Smart: Monitor and control your iParcelBox from your smartphone. iParcelBox automatically allows a delivery when it’s empty, and will send you a notification and let you remotely allow subsequent deliveries.
- Secure: iParcelBox is made of steel, and is securely anchored to the floor or a wall using the provided bolts. The locked compartment stores your parcels safely until you return home to retrieve them.
- ParcelBox runs on 5v DC power and needs to be installed within range of your WiFi connection. A power adapter is provided with a 3m cable, which can be connected either to a suitable external IP rated enclosure, or via a small hole to an internal power socket. A battery powered model is also available.
- iParcelBox comes with fixings to allow it to be fixed either to the floor or a wall. You will need a 6.0mm drill bit for Brick, Stone, Concrete Block, Wood or Concrete.

What's to stop somebody just stealing the box?
iParcelBox comes with pre-drilled holes for either wall or floor fixing, and is supplied with multi-material fixings. it also automatically locks if the power supply / Wi-Fi supply is interrupted.
What's to stop a courier stealing the first parcel when delivering a second one?
It doesn't happen! They already have a van full of parcels, and a handheld which tracks their deliveries. There is also detailed tracking on the iParcelBox. Their employers would most likely report them to the police and they would loose their job.
How long will the battery charge last and how do I charge it?
(Battery powered model only)
A fully charged battery should last several months in normal use.
The battery is non-removable. It can be charged using a temporary mains power supply, portable USB power bank or optional iParcelBox solar panel.
Can iParcelBox accept multiple deliveries?
Yes. iParcelBox will send you a notification when a subsequent delivery is requested, allowing you to remotely unlock iParcelBox and allow the delivery to be made.
Can iParcelBox accept deliveries requiring a signature / proof of delivery?
iParcelBox has a unique barcode and tracking number, located on the inside of the lid. When this barcode is scanned or the code noted by the courier / delivery driver, this acts as proof of delivery for your parcel.

“How did you come up with the idea for this product?
I love online shopping, but hate it when I get home to find I've missed the delivery. Spending my Saturday morning queueing at the Post Office or driving to a depot to collect parcels is not my idea of fun!
I wanted a way for parcels to be left securely when I'm not home, but no decent products existed so I decided to make my own.
iParcelBox started as a wooden box, with an electronic lock wired up to our app-controlled garden lights. It worked really well! I only decided to create a 'real' product after colleagues at work started asking me to make one for them.
What makes your product special?
iParcelBox is the only smart parcel box that lets you monitor and control your parcel deliveries from your smartphones, with the first delivery being automatically accepted.
The delivery driver doesn't need an access code, app or key – they just press the button on the front of the box and the technology does the rest!
That means you're MUCH more likely to get a successful delivery, without your parcel being just left on your doorstep for opportunists to steal, or left “safely” in an inappropriate place like the wheelie-bin on bin day….
It works for multiple deliveries, so you can get parcels from several different couriers during the day, and collect them all when you get home. Signed for deliveries are fine too – there's a unique code inside the box which can be scanned as proof of delivery.
What has been the best part of your experience?
As more and more people realise the benefits of buying online, we think there'll come a day where having a smart parcel box is as common as a letterbox. No body wants to have to go and collect a parcel that they ordered for home delivery!
Being able to invent and launch a smart home product which solves an everyday problem that has been an amazing experience.
