For punchy bass notes

Strike near the centre of the playing surface for the deepest bass response. Use your palms or fingertips to find the right mix of volume and attack.

Achieve snapping snare sounds

Using the length of your fingers in a slapping motion, play near the top corners of the front plate for a sharper snare sound. Combine bass and snare hits to create grooves!

Explore the Key Features of the Headliner String Cajon

Internal Adjustable Coiled Metal Strings Located inside the cajon is a hex wrench that you may use to adjust the tension of the metal strings that span across the frontplate. To do this, locate the two screws on the bottom of the cajon (between the front rubber feet) and turn them with the hex wrench until you reach your desired level of tension. Tighter strings will give you a more focused snare sound, while loosening them adds slack for a lax snare effect.	Adjustable Top Corners for Cutting Slaps Players may find that adjusting the two top corner screws on the frontplate will change the amount of 'slap' sound that is achievable. This is done by altering the distance between the top corners of the playing surface and cajon body by turning the screws with any household screwdriver. Loosening the screws gets you more of a sharp attack sound, while tightening them gives you a warmer, woody tonal quality.	Rear Sound Port for Tone and Amplification This cajon comes with a sound port that is cut into the back of the resonating body. This allows air to escape from the cajon as you play it, which enhances all frequencies of the instrument. The sound port is also an ideal spot for microphone placement when amplification is needed. This is an extremely versatile cajon that may be used unplugged in small cafes or under a microphone in large music venues and houses of worship.	Four Large Rubber Feet for Anti-Vibration Attached to the underside of this cajon are rubber feet that keep the instrument stable. These feet also protect the cajon while dampening unwanted vibrations.
