Our trap kits have been specifically designed for trapping rats within external environments or areas sensitive to children or non-target animals.
Used by professionals as a suitable rodenticide alternative, users can quickly control active or emerging rat infestations.
Rats can be difficult to control, and a site survey must be undertaken before undertaking trapping to look for food sites and nesting areas. Food sources, in particular, should be identified and removed or controlled before undertaking any trapping control. Otherwise, users may see limited results. Once locations have been identified, the boxes should be placed close to nesting sites as possible when practical close to buildings.
The internal trap can easily be set either manually or with the cable ties included within the package. The cable tie acts as a reliable indicator of the trap's status without having to open the box.
A suitable bait is required for the trap (not included)
The Roshield Baiter and trap kit are simple to use, and instructions are included within the packaging. An additional video on how to set up the box is available.
Roshield Professional Traps – Whats the difference?
Welded kill bar
Our Roshield trap kill bar is welded and then covered in a red rubber coating, allowing for more force to be transferred from the kill bar to the rat's body. This is a more durable method compared to non-welded yellow bars.
High strength spring
Its often for manufactures to save money by using fewer materials, often in and around the spring area. Our Roshield traps contain highly tensioned springs, with an additional fourth loop, that result in a kill bar that can undertake the necessary control action.
Sensitive trigger plate & catch
Often overlooked but again an essential part of the trap mechanism. Too hard and the trap will not fire, and too sensitive, the trap will fire before the rat is in the ultimate position. We believe that our Roshield trap has the ultimate balance, which results in a successful trigger resulting in fewer misfires and quicker control results.

Includes the Roshield tamper-resistant station box
This listing includes a tamper-resistant bait station that prevents children and non-target animals from gaining access to the internal trap.
Add trap into the box, activate, close lid and place in the area of the main activity. Instructions are included within the kit.
Whilst the box will stop the majority of animals from gaining access to the bait stations; it may not stop squirrels and other small animals. If baiting externally within areas of other animal activity, we recommend placement of additional items over the top of the box to discourage non-rat activity, for example, scrap timber.

We dispatch all our boxes within recycled cardboard boxes, which can also be recycled at the majority of kerbside collections.
Manufactured in the UK
We understand the costs of the environment and have taken steps to minimise the transportation and material wastage in creating our boxes. All our black Roshield bait boxes are manufactured in the UK using recycled plastics sourced from car bumpers and dashboards. Waste plastic is reintroduced back into the manufacturing process.
As we make the boxes in the UK, we eliminate transportation costs by not importing from abroad, which results in a lower carbon footprint.
