The Miniatures range offers designs to suit any bathroom. These showers are minimalists and compact with push button central controls for easy use. They also come with an all chrome premium kit and a 5 pattern showerhead giving the ultimate showering experience. 2 year full parts & labour guarantee. The following points will help you understand how the shower operates: The electric heating elements operate at a constant rate at your chosen power setting. It is the rate of the water passing through the heater can which determines the water temperature. The slower the flow, the hotter the water becomes; the faster the flow, the cooler the water. During winter, the mains water supply will be cooler than in the summer. The flow rate will vary between seasons at any one temperature setting. At different times of the year you may have to adjust the position of the temperature control to maintain your desired temperature setting. The stabiliser valve minimises variations in shower temperature during mains water pressure changes. If changes in shower temperature are experienced during normal use, it will most likely be caused by the water pressure falling near to or below the minimum level. The drop in pressure may be due to water being drawn off at other points in the house whilst the shower is in use. If pressure drops appreciably below the minimum, the heating elements will automatically cut out. NOTE: If ever the water becomes too hot and you cannot obtain cooler water, first check that the spray plate in the shower head has not become blocked.

Electric ShowersElectric Showers require cold water only which is heated instantly to provide a hot shower. – An electric shower only heats the water you use once the shower is switched on. It does not use the hot water heated or stored by the household water system – An electric shower is always ready to use 24 hours a day seven days a week -The higher the kilowatt power rating (kW) the better performance and greater the flow of heated water | Mixer ShowersMixer showers require hot and cold water which is 'mixed' together to provide a hot shower. – Mixer showers use the hot water heated by the household water system – Generally produce higher flow rates compared to electric showers – Mixer showers must be matched to your household water system. High pressure systems such as combi boilers, are ideal for mixer showers -Add a pump on a low pressure systems to to boost water flow rates | Power ShowersPower showers require hot and cold water which is 'mixed' together and the built in pump increases water flow, to provide a hot shower. -Power showers are made for use on low pressure systems only. An internal pump increases the flow of water to provide a powerful shower – Power showers are not to be confused with electric showers as they do not heat water -Generally produce higher flow rates than electric showers and many mixer showers |
Gravity fed hot water system
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is usually low. To give a higher pressure and flow rate from a mixer shower a booster pump can be installed.
Gravity fed hot water system with Booster Pump
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is increased due to the addition of a Booster Pump.
Unvented System
An unvented system has a hot water cylinder that is connected directly to the mains cold water supply and there is no need for a cold water tank in the home. The water is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater. As everything is under the pressure of mains water, the flow rates from taps and showers are much better and a pump is not needed to get a powerful shower. An unvented cylinder can be installed virtually anywhere e.g. in an airing cupboard or garage.
Combination Boiler
A combi – boiler can be located anywhere within the home. More often wall mounted but some are floor mounted. It heats water ‘on demand’ when a hot tap or mixer shower is turned on. Connected directly to the mains cold water supply at high pressure there is no need for a hot water cylinder, cold water tank or shower pump in the home.
