This Step Up / Step Down Transformer can be used to convert European/UK 220-240 Volt to North American 110-120 Volt and vice-versa. For the optimal use of the device, we recommend you to purchase a Transformer with a maximum watt rating at least 30% higher than your appliance (some appliances such as Power tools, Motors, Laser printers and TVs require 2-3 times more watts at start up than the printed rating). You can connect multiple electrical devices to one voltage transformer simultaneously (including American and European equipment).
Always ensure that the overall rated wattage of all connected devices never exceeds the maximum rated wattage of the voltage converter (or the continuous use capacity rating for extended duration)!
In the case of an electrical surge or overload the fuse will cut off the current to protect the transformer and your appliance.
CAUTION NOTE: Not all devices are compatible with voltage converters due to electrical frequency (Hz) issues. Before buying a voltage converter, please contact the device manufacturer to clarify the suitability of the product for use with a voltage converter.
