Faithfull FAIAUJERR20B 20 Litre Jerry Can. A heavy-duty Jerry Can with a robust construction in carbon steel. Fuel retardant epoxy powder coated internally and externally for a long lasting, durable finish and to prevent corrosion. Lockable cap with secure locking pin mechanism included. Integrated triple handle allows 2 man carriage for easy transportation. Includes a gasket seal preventing leaks or evaporation. The cans are UN approved and certified and independently tested in the UK by a VCA approved test centre. They are rigorously tested undergoing, a drop test, stacking test and hydraulic and air pressure tests to measure their strength, integrity and suitability for use. The UN certification requirement is to UN standard Group II for transporting flammable liquids, but the cans surpassed this during testing and were approved to Group 1 which relates to transportation of dangerous liquids and chemicals. The Petroleum Spirit (Motor Vehicles etc.) Regulations 1929 and the Petroleum Spirit (Plastic Containers) Regulations 1982 limit the amount of petrol that can be kept in a domestic garage or within six metres of a building (e.g. most domestic driveways). The limit is a maximum of two suitable metal containers each of a maximum capacity of ten Litres and two plastic containers (which have to be of an approved design) each of a maximum capacity of five Litre. These limits also apply to any containers kept in a vehicle parked in the garage or on the driveway (but not to the internal fuel tank of the vehicle).
