Canson® Héritage is the result of almost half a century of paper production experience combined with the latest technologies. The result is a premium paper that meets the needs of artists. This durable and absorbent paper in a traditional composition of 100% cotton and produced on the round sieve, gives a unique sensory impression, a special tactile experience, according to the finest hand-made paper. This paper innovation allows for even washings (without pigment accumulation), bright, true-to-life colours and exceptionally clear contours. It is very easy to make corrections regardless of whether the paper is wet or dry. The processing time is optimised: the paper stays wet for a long time, allowing the artist to work more relaxed.

The paper is acid-free and free from optical brighteners, which ensures that the white tone will remain over time and the watercolour paper will not yellow. It is also treated with fungicide to protect the paper and ensure optimal ageing resistance. The watercolour paper complies with ISO standard 9706, as it meets the requirements for ageing resistance and archiving.
