The Franke Sirius kitchen sink is made from Techtonite, A synthetic material created by Franke with granite like appearance.

Techtonite is heat resistant up to 300°C, Very lightweight but much more resistant to scuffs, scratches and chips.
The sinks also have a coated surface which will protect it against stubborn stains and bacteria.
