After cruising in salty or muddy water:

1. Rinse the outboard motor with clean water.

2. Cool the waterway with fresh water.

3. Do not leave the outboard outside until the cooling water is completely used up. Otherwise, water will enter the cylinder through the exhaust port, causing the engine to fail.

4. The engine should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight.
