Creating a Wi-Fi mesh system with MX5300
To create a mesh system you need at least two Velop nodes: a node is connected to the equipment provided by the ISP and acts as a router. Each additional node finds the best channel and path to wirelessly connect to the previous one, creating a reliable, seamless Wi-Fi connection. Velop nodes create a single wireless network with a single SSID and a single password. Each node in the Velop Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 series comes with the same functionality, so no matter which one you connect to your ISP equipment.
Compatibility with Smart Devices
The Linksys MX5300 is compatible with Wi-Fi connected smart devices, such as smart lighting, camcorders and smart TVs.
Control your Wi-Fi with the Linksys app
With the Linksys app, you can monitor and manage your home Wi-Fi remotely with a smartphone or tablet. Easy-to-use features include:
Family Filter: You can create schedules, block some websites, or pause Wi-Fi when you have to do your homework or it's time to go to bed.Guest Login: Create a separate password-protected Wi-Fi network and easily share your password through a text message.Device priority: Set priority on streaming devices to avoid buffering or other devices can slow down the network.
Additional features with Linksys Shield and Aware
With Linksys Shield** you have greater control over your network and can protect your family from online security risks. You can filter content by age groups and block websites by category with just a tap.
With Linksys Aware**, your Velop system can detect motion without the need for additional camcorders or hardware, ensuring privacy and comfort throughout your home. It sends you notifications using the Linksys app if an unexpected movement is detected.
