An all-rounder for trekking! Whether on a hut tour, alpine trekking, pilgrimage or backpacking: the women’s trekking backpack with a packing volume of 38 liters combines carrying comfort and storage space. The trekking backpack for women is particularly back-friendly: the recesses in the lower back reduce the pressure on the sacroiliac joint and prevent back problems. The Tergolight Comfort Space carrying system guarantees optimum carrying comfort. Back length and load positioning can be adjusted individually. Shorter shoulder straps, shorter back length, specially shaped and softly padded hip belt: the women’s trekking backpack adapts to the female anatomy. The Ergoshape shoulder straps relieve the strain and give the arms freedom of movement. The main compartment of the women’s trekking backpack is accessible from above and from the front – no annoying rummaging around. A wet jacket can dry in the well-ventilated front compartment and everything you need can be stored within easy reach. The water bottle and hiking map are safely stowed and accessible in the elastic side compartments without having to take off the women’s trekking backpack. Helmet, ice ax and trekking poles can be stowed on the daisy chain or the additional gear loop. There are two compression straps on each side of the backpack and another under the lid with an integrated spare buckle in case one of the buckles breaks on the way. The height-adjustable lid with inner compartment creates up to 8 liters of additional volume. This trekking backpack for women consists mainly of recycled materials. Our VAUDE Green Shape label stands for a functional, environmentally friendly product made from sustainable and bluesign® certified materials.

vaudevaude

VAUDE offers functional, innovative, and sustainable products for mountain and cycling sports. In doing so, the family-owned company sets social standards worldwide. In cooperation with the independent organization Fair Wear, the outdoor outfitter is committed to good working conditions and fair manufacturing worldwide. VAUDE has been climate neutral in Germany since 2012 and with all products worldwide since 2022.

  • VAUDE has been climate neutral with all products since 2022! What does that mean?

In concrete terms, it means that we have taken the time to calculate our global greenhouse gas emissions for VAUDE as a company, including all products, and fully offset all currently unavoidable emissions. At the same time, we are continuing to reduce our emissions in accordance with science-based targets (SBTs) in order to make our contribution to meeting the 1.5-degree target.

  • What is the Science Based Targets Initiative and what are science-based targets?

The international Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) helps companies set measurable and realistic climate targets to reduce emissions. By joining SBTi, we as a company have committed to doing our part to meet the 1.5-degree target. This means that we are reducing our emissions and, in addition, have been voluntarily offsetting all emissions that we can't yet avoid since 2022. This makes us climate neutral.

  • What CO2 reduction targets have we set?

We've set three SBTs and submitted them to the SBTi. They are now under review and should be verified by the end of 2022. We will then be reviewed annually on whether we are meeting our targets.

    1. By 2026: 30% less emissions from the company vehicle fleet compared to 2019 (Scope 1)

    2. By 2030: continue to use 100% green electricity at the German company headquarters (Scope 2)

    3. By 2030: 50% reduction in Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2019, particularly emissions from material consumption and energy consumption in material production.

  • How important is it that VAUDE is climate neutral worldwide?

Very important! The most recently published IPCC report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change once again forcefully points out that climate change is a man-made reality and is progressing even faster than previously assumed.

The 1.5-degree target agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement could be exceeded as early as 2030 if things continue as they have been. We aren't willing to wait – now is the time to take action.
