• Windows : This PC– dvd drive- Properties – Hardware Tab – Properties button – Choose Region
• Mac: Menu-System Preference-Language & Region – Region – Select Country – Apply
• DVDs will play only on external dvd drive that use the same region country codes.

Notice: Remember you can only reset the country 4 times.

Tips should be noted about this external cd dvd drive for laptop:

1. Before playing or burning cd/dvd with this cd burner on your laptop, please make sure you have corresponding software on your laptop. For playing software, please download free software: VLC media player or Kmplayer. For burning software, please download free software: Nero.

2. For desktop PC, please connect the external cd/dvd drive for laptop to the back-end USB interface, because the front-end USB port of the PC extends outward and the power supply is insufficient.

3. High-speed drives spin the disc at a high rotational speed. If a disc has printing on only half of the disc, or if there is a slight imbalance in the disc, the imbalance is greatly magnified by the high speed, causing the drive to vibrate or produce a fan-like noise. These effects are inherent in the high-speed technology and do not indicate a problem with the drive.

4. The newly released Windows system has stopped using external DVD media player software. If your device system is Windows 10 or above, when DVD cannot be played normally, please install VLC media player to play DVD or CD.

5. This usb cd player cannot be connected directly to a car, but you can created diks with it and then play the disk created on car cd player.
