F00 Display
- Manual lenses do not have an electronic contact, “F00” is displayed because the camera is unable to acquire aperture information.
- At the same time, the aperture information cannot be adjusted from the camera, and the aperture value can only change automatically by adjusting the focal length.
How to use the manual lens?
Enable “Release shutter w/o Lens”
- The shutter cannot be pressed after installation. To solve this problem, enable “Release shutter w/o Lens”.
- Tips to use our Manual Lens: 1) Set the Release shutter w/o Lens option in the camera menu to Enable. 2) Set the mode dial to Manual (M).
- Note that the aperture value will not be displayed (it will show “F00“). The aperture value can only be changed automatically by adjusting the focal length, for example: 420mm/F8.3 → 500mm/F10 → 600mm/F12 → 700mm/F14 → 800mm/F16.

Do switch to Mode “M” to use the manual lens.
How to use a manual focus lens?
First of all, set the Release shutter w/o Lens option in the camera menu to Enable; secondly, manual focus lenses need to be used in M-mode.
FULL MANUAL LENS, no electric contacts → no auto focus → no image stabilization
Aperture value is not adjustable
The aperture value changes with focal length and not possible to set via camera, F8.3 at 420mm and F16 at 800mm, that's why it shows F00
It has no stabilization and no autofocus, to get a sharp image you have to take the time to focus, this is what we call a manual lens. If you mind about this, buy the original lens.
Why can't I press the shutter after mounting the lens?
Please do Enable the “Release shutter w/o lens”, and then you can press the shutter to take a picture.
Why does my picture out of focus and very blurry?
Since our lenses are manual lenses, there are no electronic contacts for autofocus. Need to turn the focus ring (on the front of the lens) for manual focusing. If it is still blurry, use a tripod and time-lapse function to keep the image stable.
Why is F00 displayed and how can the aperture value be set?
As the manual lens has no electronic contacts to recognize the aperture value, “F00” is displayed. The aperture value can only be adjusted automatically by changing the focal length. (420mm/F8.3 →500mm/F10→600mm/F12→700mm/F14→800mm/F16)
What if the image turn out bright?
If the image is too bright, lower the ISO (e.g. from 200 to 100) to reduce the light sensitivity and increase the shutter speed (e.g. from 1/125s to 1/250s) to reduce the exposure and avoid overexposure.
What if the image turn out dark?
If the image is too dark, increase the ISO (e.g. from 800 to 1600) to increase the sensitivity and decrease the shutter speed (e.g. from 1/250s to 1/125s) to allow more light onto the sensor.
