It offers real added value in terms of safety and comfort in the hall and on the rock as well as in alpine sports climbing routes (with single rope, approved rope diameter: 8.6 – 10.5 mm), both for the climbing and the securing person. Beginners, experienced and professionals as well as rope ships both with and without weight difference benefit from this. The integrated HMPE sling allows you to adjust three brake levels with one hand depending on the weight distribution. The integrated roller ensures that the friction caused by the first intermediate lock is less than when using an express sling, which means that you do not feel the OHMEGA even in long and difficult routes when climbing or clipping. Thanks to the short HMPE sling and the resulting minimal activation path, the securing person can more easily secure dynamically and softly, which reduces the risk of impact injuries. In the event of a fall, the clamping cam brakes the fall, thus supporting the securing person and compensates for it in the event of a weight difference. This means that the securing person is not pulled up uncontrollably in the event of a long fall. In case of ground-level falls, the OHMEGA reduces both the risk of a collision of the climbing partners and the risk of ground falls thanks to its braking effect. In addition, the OHMEGA brakes reliably when the climbing person falls directly into the device.
