As a multi-protocol control unit with its high-resolution, modern colour touchscreen, the 2 driving controls and the integrated central track display console offers the possibility to easily and comfortably control the locomotives and the entire system. Up to 32 functions can be switched on for locomotives, for accessories up to 320 Motorola or 2048 DCC magnetic items are possible. The CS 3 has 2 locomotive card readers, an SD card slot for memory expansion and an integrated speaker. A powerful booster is integrated to supply the system with driving and switching current. The CS 3 is multi-device capable, i.e. with the optional cable (60123), additional CS 3 plus (60216) with respective network connection can be operated together on one system. Additional drives, other layouts and keyboards extend the operation of the system. The CS 3 has 2 built-in USB hosts (for mouse, keyboard, USB stick), a USB charging socket, a network port, ports for 2 mobile stations, a connection for external speakers as well as other for the Märklin bus system.
